SUMMARY:Marcel Bolomey
DESCRIPTION:From June 1 to July 15\, this exhibition retraces a personal\, artistic and local part of Marcel Bolomey’s photographic work\, exploring his relationship with Lake Geneva. These photographs are a precious historical testimony\, capturing with sensitivity and depth the tumult and emotions of his era. \nOpening on Friday June 7 at 11:00 am. \n

SUMMARY:Clap sur Léman - Part Four
DESCRIPTION:Unearthed from the depths of darkened cinemas\, here is the fourth part of films shot on the shores of Lake Geneva. \nOn a regular basis\, Swiss and foreign filmmakers alike set up on the shores of the lake to shoot a few scenes. \nFilms with Lake Geneva as their backdrop are actually quite rare. Yet Swiss and foreign filmmakers regularly set up shop on the shores of the lake to shoot a few scenes. Directors’ relationships with water vary greatly. For some\, it’s just a distant backdrop\, for others an integral part of the narrative. Unlike the mountain\, which is a character in many films\, the lake is not an actor in its own right in any fiction\, except in the protean work of Godard\, who lives on its shores in Rolle. Strangely enough\, despite the presence of many talented directors and dream castings\, virtually none of the films shot on Lake Geneva’s waters have been a hit with audiences. These films will be remembered only by cinephiles. \nOpening on Friday\, April 5 at 11:00 am. \nWith an illustration of a Max Linder film.
