SUMMARY:Sacred Lake Geneva
DESCRIPTION:Sacred Lake Geneva \nOpening June 27 at 11 a.m. \nThis exhibition surveys over 2\,000 years of sacred history around Lake Geneva. It’s the start of a long investigation in museums\, libraries and archives. And in the churches and temples of the towns and villages along the lake\, in Switzerland and France. We set off in search of stained-glass windows\, statues\, frescoes and other evidence of religious practices. All avenues are explored.m Numerous testimonies and press articles are consulted and deciphered. These are not myths or legends\, but tangible realities attested by the documents\, places and historical objects we have unearthed. All represent the fundamental questions of human beings: where do we come from\, who are we\, where are we going?

DESCRIPTION:This summer\, philosophy workshops for children aged 7 and over will be held at the Bains des Pâquis on the first four Thursdays in July from 10:00 to 11:00. \nSuggested by Le Canard des enfants-philosophes and in collaboration with the AmStramGram theater\, the discussions will serve as material to enrich Am Stram Gram’s Agora on children’s participation on March 28 and 29\, 2026\, to which all children will be invited. \nThe box of words Paroles des Bains created during a philosophy workshop will remain in place until October.  \n\nYou can put your ideas and desires about your right to participate in the city\, at school and in your family.

DESCRIPTION:An exhibition by the Fondation Bodmer and the Botanical Garden\, in collaboration with the Bains des Pâquis \nOpening July 3 at 6 p.m. \nAquatic plants from near and far \nAny plant species living constantly or temporarily in water or in a humid environment can be considered an aquatic plant. Algae are included even if they are not plants in the strict sense.  \nWater can be salty or fresh\, running (sea\, lake\, stream) or stagnant (mangrove\, marsh\, pond). Plants may be fixed or drifting\, completely or partially submerged\, microscopic or visible to the naked eye. They may belong to the algae\, moss\, fern or flowering plant groups.   \nWater depth (reduced luminosity)\, variations in water level\, nutrient richness (eutrophication)\, acidity\, soil type and currents strongly influence the development and propagation of species. \nBotanists divide aquatic plants into two groups: macrophytes and microphytes. DESCRIPTION:Døds\, or Deathjump\, is a Norwegian extreme sport in which you jump from a 10 m star-shaped platform\, before folding up just before impact. Judged on style\, originality and impact\, this spectacular jump\, which has become popular internationally\, remains risky and requires training. The Swiss Døds competition allows everyone to train\, either on their own or via courses at the Bains des Pâquis\, to present their 3 jumps on July 5\, 2025 at the annual event!  \n\nRegistration fee: 10.00 per person.
