How can you be a cowboy when you\u2019re not a \u201cboy\u201d? How can you reenact the Wild West when you\u2019
\n\u2019re on the banks of the Rh\u00f4ne? How can you stage a duel in a saloon when you don\u2019t have any glasses to break
\nor pistols to shoot with? <\/p>\n
poneyXpress, founded in 2025, was born out of a desire to play with the Western\u2014a film genre that seems both very close to us, with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Lucky Luke, yet at the same time infinitely distant\u2014both because of the differences in social and geographic context and because of the outdated values of its characters.<\/p>\n
The COWPERSONS collective starts from the idea that the Western has always been a myth crafted to
\nrepresent a certain vision of the United States\u2014a myth in which men kill as naturally as they breathe,
\nalways in the name of honor and justice\u2026 poneyXpress seeks to reconstruct it
\nin a different way: by replacing horses with \u201chobby-horses,\u201d muscles with foam
\n, and hats with cardboard.<\/p>\n
