As part of the “Portraits parlĂ©s” exhibition at Les Bains, this cafĂ©-philo will look at the daily lives of deaf people in an attempt to better understand this too-often ostracized community, opening up dialogue and exchange between hearing and deaf people. In particular, we’ll be looking at the many developments in sign language in Geneva as necessary adaptations and social, cultural and linguistic responses to hearing loss.
