Les Bains is pleased to welcome Loïs Zongo for Akutuk (water percussion) workshops and performances.

Originating in Cameroon, Akutuk is a bare-handed aquatic percussion technique—a practice that brings together air, water, and the body.

Program

2:00 p.m.: Doors open to the public

2:30–3:30 p.m.: First Akutuk Introductory Workshop (10–12 people) – 60 minutes
(families with children). Free workshop; online registration required.

3:30 p.m.: Loïs Zongo’s first SOLO performance and demonstration (20 min.)

5:00–6:00 p.m.: 2nd Akutuk Introductory Workshop (10–12 people) – 60 minutes (women only). Free workshop; online registration required.

6:00 p.m.: Loïs Zongo’s second SOLO performance and demonstration (20 min.)
