Screening of short films on the pier
25 June, 21h30
– Screenings offered by the Spoutnik cinema on the Bains jetty, free admission and films for all audiences.
A satellite cinema within the Usine, a cinema orbiting within Geneva, a cinema gravitating around off-system works, invisible stars or little-known planets, Sputnik is a device for creating microcosms outside the profitability-machine-industry of commercial cinema. It’s a space dedicated to films – but not only – that experiment, seek and question, on the margins.
Sputnik returns with an open-air program for summer 2026 at the BDP: Three films programmed by Sputnik question the collective rituals that make us see and hear the invisible part that links us to the presences of the “possible beyond”. In contrast to the preoccupations of
summer, strange forms of cinema take us elsewhere to worlds that elevate us both sensitively and spiritually. Contemplation, memory, magic and surrealism, the light of the Moon and Water will be our guide to shed light on mysteries that have never been solved.
